Joe Pernice was named a Quarterfinalist for the Academy Awards Nicholl Fellowship, was ranked on Business Insider's 30 Under 30 list for Most Creative People in Advertising, and was inducted into SHOOT’s 2015 New Directors Showcase being honored as one of the best up-and-coming directors of the year. He started his advertising career on the agency side, where he wore many hats from Producer to Creative. Cutting his teeth creating campaigns for big brands including Busch Beer, Booking.com, PNC Bank and J&J, his work has been honored at major award shows receiving top honors at Cannes Lions, One Show, The Andys, and AICP. Prior to advertising, Joe worked in the Production and Development department of Robert DeNiro's Tribeca Productions. He wrote and directed the theatrically released feature film CHASING YESTERDAY and graduated NYU's Tisch School of the Arts with a B.F.A. in Film and Television. Oh, and his nickname on set is "Pizza" because that is all he eats.
